Next time you shop and end up with some of those large brown paper bags, save them to make an inexpensive front door greeter.
The November 2010 issue of Pack O Fun magazine has the instructions and patterns for everything you need to make this project.
Paint the two front and back pieces black. The paint will add a little body to the paper and make it easier to stuff with polyfil. Sew the edges closed by hand with your machine or a hand sewing needle. Embellish with a pair of wiggle eyes, a painted wood circle and a sign that has been background sprayed with Krylon's Webbing Spray. I used a corrugated box to make the sign here, but a wood plaque or recycled cereal box would work as well. Finally, die cut letters with your Serif Essentials dies by Sizzix and chipboard (recycled cereal box again). For a speedier project, use heavy black card stock to die cut the letters. Happy Halloween!
