I have to honestly say that Somerset Life, by Stampington has become my go to place for inspiring ideas. The photographs and projects by my favorite artist like Becky Shander, Vanessa Spencer and Kristin Robinson and Lisa Super to name a few inspire me beyond words. I can spend hours flipping through back issues.
When I decided a few months ago to create some hand dyed ribbons using fabric normally used for curtain sheers with Rit Dye, I had no idea that my art would be published, let alone chosen for the cover.
This is a huge deal for me. I created this gift for a special friend of mine, Niki Meiners, an art soul mate who adores her European travels and who has been an especially supportive friend lately during my time of change.
For you my friend- Niki. I have spent countless days crying on your shoulder while you patiently reassured me. I appreciate you more than you know and cannot wait until this gift is in your hands.
Take time to let those special people in your life to know how much you appreciate them!
The current issue of Sommerset Life can be ordered here.

Hi Melony! I was flipping through this magazine at Barnes & Noble the other day, and came across your ribbons. Love them! I bookmarked your blog right then and there and have been coming back often. Thanks for the ribbon inspiration!
