Blog Hopping again using Eileen Hull's new Celebration die cuts by Sizzix has proven to be my perfect cup of tea. The tea cup die is the most unique and adorable die cut I have seen in a long time. This makes a sweet party favor to fill with treats for a special event and comes with a small tag so you can personalize for guests.
I decided to create a little home decor piece to hold pictures of my parents I recently snapped on a trip home. I decorated the tea cup by painting it and adding a layered flowers die by Sizzix. I sewed the paper piece borders before gluing them to the die cuts. I then added beaded coiled wires to resemble tea steam. The picture frames are sewn patterned paper frames made from a Coluzzle template.
Use a STYROFOAM scrap glued to the bottom of the cup with Aleenes Tacky Glue to hold the wires in place and stuff the cup with any type of filler...
