Creating these simple owl treat totes from recycled cardboard tubes is a fun way to welcome the Autumnal Equinox. I simply painted the tubes, glued one end shut and added some scraps of wool felt, buttons and a wire hanger. The beautiful wool felt is from National Nonwovens. For those of you without a lot of wool felt scraps laying around, smaller quantities can now be purchased directly from the manufacturer from their online division by clicking here.
Inspired by Kerry Goulder's Srappy Owl, I decided to take the challenge and try to crate something with items found right in my home. No going to the craft store for these. Save your empty tubes starting now and create these for all the little neighborhood ghouls and goblins for Halloween.
And now for more fun stuff...The Winner of the Three Letter Keepers is #5- Rabecca F! Congrats and thanks to all of you who took the time to share your comments on these. Rabecca, you will be sent three letter keepers. Please send your address and other contact info to: [email protected].
Have a Happy Friday Everyone!
