Halloween may not be an official "holiday" but here is a fun little project you can do with a reclaimed muffin tin. I painted the tin with acrylic paint so that some of the paint would be easy to remove, creating sort of a webbed effect.
Looking to see what I had to use around the house, I came up with some wood ovals, painted to resemble pumpkins, a silvery bird and some vintage images. I glued the images to wood circle before gluing the circles and pumpkins on wood blocks placed at the bottom of each cup. Wood excelsior placed in the cups give a little texture and a rustic feel. Finally, add a simple wood applique with a stamed image to the top and display your country creation.
I also created a Christmas version of this too.
So grab your tins and get to work, you'll have creations ready for spooky decorating or holiday gifting in no time at all!

Okay...what I want to know is do you start with a new tin or do you go to garage sales and buy old ones?
